Jessica Alba: The difference with baby 2

Jessica Alba, now the mother of two after welcoming daughter Haven in August, is realizing that not every baby experience is the same. Not only does every child come with their own set of quirks, but mothers grow too.
On the difference between welcoming her first child and her second Jessica Alba recently told In Style magazine:
“I’m more relaxed. Every sneeze or runny nose or little bump on the head that would have freaked me out before…I am more easygoing with that sort of thing. And the sense of knowing that I can get Haven to stop crying. It was all new with Honor and I wasn’t confident, and she could feel that so she continued to cry. That didn’t happen a lot, but when it happened I felt like I would crack.”
Of her husband, Cash Warren (who Jessica Alba is perched on here at the park on Nov. 19), she shared, “He’s totally great and a real hands-on dad. He’s just such a nice, good person…His biggest thing is that he doesn’t like the idea of them growing up and dating! He’s kidding, but I can tell he’s kind of thinking of the future already.”
And on the subject of that eternal conundrum of ‘trying to do it all’ the actress said, “It’s overwhelming. I don’t consider myself a lot of the time. I think a lot of mums do that, try to be everything to everyone all the time. I make mistakes. I do try to do way too much.”
She’s just so right — about all of it! Not only do I try and do way too much, but what Jessica Alba said about the difference between baby number one and two hits home in my personal experience. I was a nervous wreck the first time around, and while not a pro on the second turn, I did have the sense that we would all survive…that we could do this.
Heck, perhaps the feeling multiplies with each additional kid? Some of the most confident parents I know have 5+ kids!
